Two places where Nivdia Control Panel can be found.
One can be found by right-clicking on your desktop.
The second place can be found in your system tray.
Here is what Nvidia Control Panel would look like:
I have the same drivers, with a different graphics card though, at least we can rule out that it's not your graphic drivers.

Alright, you need some info, and we need just a little more info.
When you get your short "black blank screens", are you still able to hear sound? Having a frozen black screen, but still able to hear sound is very common mainly among AMD graphic cards, and Nvidia cards, mostly the (GeForce Nvidia) cards.
There's many ways to fix the problem, so a little more info will help narrow down answers.
- Are you still able to hear sound during blank screens? - Does your GeForce Control panel signal any warning? - Did you buy the computer with windows pre-installed? - Have you've checked to see if your Chipset drivers installed? - Do you have SLI enabled?
Ricoh Chipset /Chipset drivers play a maybe roll if you are using a external display.
Useless information: You can get the latest drivers for your GeForce GTX 660 ---
You don't really need the latest drivers though, GeForce alone is pretty beastly. |

I'll start this off the proper way.
- Make something that will automatically shoot JOHN=RS= in the face as soon as my character loads onto the map.
- Make something that will teleport my clay's to Hilander=R=, and DESTROY him.
That shall be all. Thank you.
No but really, post any ideas you have, have had, or may have thought you had here, as well with your suggestions. |

Forum: DF:BHD New Projects Posted: Sat May 17, 2014 2:23 am Subject: Introduction |
Welcome to the new forum topic - DF:BHD New Projects! Below I'll be explaining the main idea, and the basic function of this forum topic. I hope you all enjoy the read, and don't mind that this thread is still in the making.
Introduction This forum topic is designed for the purpose of building new DF:BHD applications, to replace the old applications, and perhaps building something completely new. The older DF:BHD applications are now out of date, and generating a lot confusing errors. DFBHD Pinger v6.0 would be a great example of an application to replace. New projects will also be designed specifically to be very user friendly, and easier to read for those who speak mainly a different language.
Projects The overall idea on building new applications, is to improve our DF:BHD gaming experience for the better, giving our very old game, new styles. Project threads will be titled under the same name as the application to keep DF:BHD New Projects as clean as possible to avoid confusion. If you have any concerns about a particular project, please search for thread with the applications name.
This is not for profit! This forum topic shall not be used for personal gain. This section shall be used only for educational purposes. Well, I consider that to be a gain. Okay so, I lied, I profit with knowledge. All applications will be free to use, the only thing I'd like to see in return is for players to post feedback, feedback is important for the learning process, as well being able to update the application to a design everyone is happy, and most importantly, comfortable with.
Ideas & Suggestions The forum thread named "Ideas & Suggestions" will be dedicated for players to post their thoughts, if you'd like to see an idea become a reality, post in there. Players are free to post any ideas, or suggestions for new DF:BHD applications. The best programs ever designed were built from the ideas and suggestions. One more thing, please keep your idea's and suggestions specifically for the main purpose of this forum topic. I don't want a silly suggestion like how to make chocolate chip cookies. Haha.
Troubleshooting Troubleshooting is a very important process with new applications. If you have any troubleshooting tips, tricks, debugging advice, or even questions about a specific application, please post it in thread titled with the same name as the application. Using an application named "Server List Creator", as an example. If you need troubleshooting tips, advice, or any questions answered, look for the thread titled "Server List Creator", all of the information on that particular project/application will be there. |

Forum: Technical Help Posted: Sat Feb 01, 2014 3:02 am Subject: Re: Grafic card problem!!! |
Hey COTA. Alright now, lets see what we can figure out, starting with the basic's. :)
Catalyst Software Suite Windows XP. Scroll down, click on Catalyst Software Suite to start download, after downloading, click run. This supports your ATI Radeon HD 2600 Series on Windows XP Professional Service pack 3, 32bit.
I'm curious, when you uninstalled your old graphic drivers, where they for a different type of graphics card, if so what was your last graphic card? I'm wondering if the uninstaller for your other graphic drivers removed your DirectX drivers as well.
So lets have a look. Click Start > Run > type: dxdiag > press enter > click yes. Let it locate and test. Delta Force Blackhawk Down needs DirectX 8.1 at the very least! dxdiag will search and list what it finds, all about your graphic drivers. Here are a few screenshots of my dxdiag results.. (This is with my PC with Vista) (Yes, I know.. my PC name is who gives a shit?, I got annoyed having to name everything.)
Windows XP Professional has a similar interface. This is my Windows XP Professional Service pack 2
My Windows 7..
As you can see it list which DirectX verison you have. Without DirectX the only thing that you will be able to do is listen to DFBHD's theme song.
After installing any software drivers, remember to reboot! Rebooting is extremely important. Uninstalling drivers requires a reboot and installing drivers requires a reboot, in order to have things run as slick as snaught. In fact, any editing in your C:/ drive requires a reboot, or you'll end up with a slugish PC.
_______Other Options_______
Do you still have your DF BHD installation disc? If so, uninstalling and re-installing can work miracles sometimes.
Does your motherboard have a video card? Perhaps its running as default for games, make sure your computer reading that you have ATI Radeon HD 2600 Series graphics card installed. Example picture: My control panel boots up on startup, to make sure that I know whats being used.
Double check your Display Settings, make sure you are using the correct monitor and video card.
But then again this could very much be as simple as refreshing your game video test. Have you tried to prompt the graphic test yet? I'm sure you remember seeing the window, warning you about some screen flickering, afterwards you get results like my result here.
About to head off to sleep, to be continued! |

Okay, all I am saying is, be gentle with the widdle links, they are delicate, be patient with them, love them, love them dearly, those precious widdle linkies. |

You will always get an error when starting up BHD Pinger v6.0.
Right clicking on BHD Pinger v6.0, select run as Administrator will get rid of 2 out of the 3 errors.
Unable to create WSA socket ! Error: 10013
Cannot change Visible in OnShow or OnHide.
EAccessViolation _______________________________________
But, you will get this one, at least I do when I open BHD Pinger v6.0
Socket Error # 11001 Host not found.
This is like 6 days late, you probably have it fixed already. Better late than never! So yea, posting this just in case. |

Chrissy fixed it, I was all like hey I can fix it I can fix any computer problem and I can also levitate off the ground and stuff, and she was all like if I want it done right I will have to fix it myself and so she fixed it. Then she and her computer began to levitate in mid air and started glowing like the aurora in the sky. I wasn't jealous or anything I was just happy about being apart of something special. |

Hi, I know that this thread is pretty old now but if you are still gaming in BHD, and still need to use a CD, perhaps this will help.
Your SYSDUMP errors could be caused by a few reasons. In this case, could probably be caused by having two of the same ".exe" file on your computer system.
I made you a step by step guide, although the patch probably comes with a guide. If so I hope mine is better. After following my steps, if you are still experiencing SYSDUMP problems,(Highly unlikely). Contact me in PM.
Link below: (3rd from the top.)
______________________________ Now, what you want to do is: 1. Download file onto your desktop.
2. Right click on folder and click extract all. (onto your desk top).
3. Go to and open your Novalogic folder in C Drive/ Program files - Windows 7 - Program files(x86). Open Novalogic folder, open Delta Force Black hawk Down, right click on DFBHD and click copy. (Just in case this is not successful, do not paste it anywhere yet.)
4. Go back to your desktop, open up DFBHD No CD Patch folder, and drag "DFBHD.EXE" into your Delta Force Black Hawk Down folder, a message will appear, with an option to Copy and Replace file, click it.
5. (Still using disk) Open BHD and a error window will appear with 3 options, (Continue, Retry, or Cancel), just click continue repeatedly until game opens normally. If you use BHD Pinger, go to server listings. Do not have to click on a server to play. At listings take out you're CD. If you do not use BHD Pinger, I'm not sure, I guess go log into your nova account, and go to server listings, and then take out you're CD.
6. After taking BHD CD out, Exit the by hitting Esc button, and clicking exit game.
7. Try opening BHD again (Without CD ofcourse), you will probably still get the error window with 3 options, click continue repeatedly until game loads up, and if all works and it'll let you play single player and multi player games. Then this information was successful.
(If not successful, Go back to Novalogic folder/Delta Force Black hawk Down, delete the "DFBHD.EXE", go to you're desktop (or just do this in the folder), right click and click paste for the old original DFBHD file. Contact me, and I will help you work the problem out.
The little error window with the 3 options will stop after whenever you reboot you're computer. No CD patch folders may then be deleted.
Hope this helps anyone that looks at this in the future.
-Stress
P.S. Hmm. I probably should have just made this post a thread of its own, I might do that, I'll think on it first. |
