hey all,
just need some advice, i'm going to change my chip to a pentium 4 3ghz from my much smaller and slower chip, its a socket 478 chip....the question is.....
once i take chip out and put the thermal paste on replace the heatsink on top of chip, is that it?..........or do i need to enter the bios and setup the chip?
i dont normally touch this sort of thing, i feel confident in changing the chip correctly but just not sure about the setting up of it if required..
cheers |

Hey
Can someone please help me cause my pc nearly went out for the bin men last night after much frustration..
Bought a new graphic card Nvidia Geforce 7300GT 256mb, put it in last night connected the extra power supply which was needed and this happened
But when the power is disconnected from the card, then i get a message saying i should connect the power cable, and cause the power power isn't connected then the card will work at a lower power setting to maintain stabilty
i have a 400w power supply which runs
motherboard/fan 2 cooling fans on case 2 hard drives 1 foppy drive 1 cd drive
spoketo a relative last night and the power supply is more than enough they beleave
any help would be great, bought it to use at full power not 75%
Cheers
